"Sports Illustrated" is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its swimsuit edition with a history-making cover featuring three models.  Among the models is R&B singer John Legend's wife, Chrissy Teigen, as well as Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge.  But Jimmy Kimmel points out that this isn't the first time "Sports Illustrated" has tried something new.

Kimmel gave the new cover its television debut on Thursday's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" after "Sports Illustrated" shared it on the Swim Daily blog earlier that evening.

Teigen, Agdal, and Aldridge are also set to visit Kimmel's ABC show on Monday, although he says they probably won't be dressed the same way they are on the cover.

The three women brought an end to fellow model Kate Upton's two-year run as the cover star.  Upton was the first to grace back-to-back swimsuit covers since Carolyn Murphy did it in 2005 and 2006.
