Lima, Ohio (WIMA) - News was released that the Ohio Attorney General’s Office ended the 2014 fiscal year with the largest amount of debt they’ve ever collected.

They collected more than four hundred and seventy-one million dollars in debts owed state and local government entities in the fiscal year that ended June 30th.

The Attorney General’s office serves as the mandatory collections agent for all state government entities and public colleges and universities.

Like other Ohio government entities- the Attorney General’s Office operates on a fiscal year- beginning July 1st and ending June 30th.
