Lima, Ohio (WIMA) - The safety project that’s on Elida Road is yielding expected results as indicated by the crash data according to O-DOT.

It is located from Robb Avenue to Eastown Road- which was identified as a high accident corridor and was completed in 2012.

The project is located in the area of the Lima mall and included the installation of a raised curb median down the center of the roadway to control left-turn movements.

The total number of crashes in 2006 was one hundred and thirty-seven and in 2013 there were seventy-five- representing an overall reduction in accidents of close to forty-five percent.
