Lima, Ohio (WIMA) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (O-DOT) is moving forward with its preferred alternative for the reconstruction of State Route 117 and 501 and Wapak Road.

The proposed project will reconstruct the intersection to eliminate the awkward angles which limit motorists’ ability to see approaching traffic.

It also will include the addition of turn lanes along State Route 117 to facilitate left turn movements onto State Route 501 and Wapak Road.

The project is scheduled for construction in the spring of 2016 at a cost to construct of around one million dollars.
