WATCH: Boston Marathon Runners Help A Struggling Runner To The Finish Line

After two and a half years, The Boston Marathon returned today. Thousands of running hopefuls leaving from the town common of Hopkinton made their way to the finish line on Boylston St. in Boston 26.2 miles later.

For the elite runners, it looks easy. For others, by the time they hit Wellesley they wish they trained on the hills more. Some people battle for hours on the course only to falter when the finish line is within sight as they turn onto Boylston St. So many times I've seen runners ignore trying to get their personal best time to pick a fellow marathoner up off the street and help them to the finish line.

It happened again today as this group carried a runner close to the finish line and helped her cross the line on her own with a big smile on her face. Congratulations to all the runners!
