As kind of a classic rock guy, I'm probably a bit of a harsh critic, especially when it comes to older bands still out there trying to relive their youthful days.
It is a bit irritating when a band carries on, and there are no original members left.
Jefferson Starship has one, and their act is still pretty good, even with "newer" talent singing and playing.
Dating back to the psychadelic 60's, Jefferson Airplane was famous for "White Rabbit" and "Somebody to Love".
They did those, and did them well. Kudos to "new" female singer Cathy Richardson, who can belt 'em out!
They also did a quick 80's montage that included "Sara", "We Built this City", and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now".
Thanks to the great staff at the Niswonger, my date and I got to attend the quick "meet and greet" before the show.
It was an honor to meet the original member, David Freiberg, who is not allowing the fact that he's now 80 years old to stop him from rockin' out!
You know it was a good show when you leave the venue, and your ears are ringing!
